Belly laughs galore! Michael is so good at getting Mason to laugh, as you can tell. I'm glad I acted fast and hit the record button!

This is the first solid food he's ever eaten and we caught it on video! Tomorrow I'll try and post the "bloopers" portion where he's cracking up laughing! XOXO, Sara

Stephan, Amy and Abby Come to Visit!

Image
We had a nice day hanging out at the house. Abby loved Mason so much (it was really cute!) and wanted to play with him, but he's too young still. Next time! Here are a bunch of photos of the day!

Mason's Monthly Update: 4 Months!

Image
I'm starting a new tag called "Mason's Monthly Update." I realized I haven't been putting down details about Mason so we will remember them in the future. So here goes nothing and if I forget a detail you think we would love to remember, leave a comment below and let me know so I can add it! :) Height: 26.5 inches Weight: 15 lbs 6 ounces Favorite Activities : sticking tongue out, blowing raspberries with drool, trying very hard to crawl, standing with our help (of course!), laughing and smiling, doing his funny long scream-to-spit gurgle, "talking", looking at the world around him, reaching out and grabbing things and trying to bring them to his mouth to "eat", sucking on his fingers, trying his hardest to sit up when we put him in his highchair of car seat or lay him on his back (he always wants to be standing!), staring at the TV, being in his gym and jumper, being sung to and read to (he's not that good with reading yet, bu

House Tour: Living Room

Image
I cleaned the living room today, so I figured it was a good time to take some photos! It's never this clean or without baby/dog toys, but this is what it would look like if we cleaned every day and didn't have a baby and two dogs...haha...enjoy! This is a new couch and ottoman and I covered the brown pillows that came with the couch with some IKEA pillow covers. We hung bamboo roman shades and sheer curtains on the windows (high and wide to make the windows appear larger). We painted the walls Ivory Lace, a creamy beige color and the carpet was put in new when we moved in a few years ago. This is the only place in the house we have carpet, it's so cozy and fun to play on! :) I sometimes change what's in my fillable glass lamp, like for Christmas time, I'll fill it with ornaments and for summertime, I fill it with white rocks I collected on the beach or, like in this photo, I put some shells I had laying around the house. The actual table is Michael'

Outside with the Bumbo

Image
Today I thought I'd try to do a quick photo session outside with Mason. This proved to be quite the challenge! After lugging out a blanket and some toys, I set Mason down on the blanket only to have him start crying up a storm. So I switched to Plan B. I went and grabbed the Bumbo and sat him in it and gave him Sophie the giraffe and this seemed to work out fairly well. He started crying because he couldn't get the toy in his mouth :) So there we have it! Our first outdoors photo session! :) Many more to come in the future! :) XOXO

5k & Diner

Image
Yesterday we ran the local 5k just like we did last year. Then we went to the diner and got some brunch because we were SO hungry after! Here are some pix... Next weekend we signed up for another 5k! And we decided next summer we are going to do a triathlon. I personally love swimming and bike riding, so I can't wait!!! :) XOXO, Sara
