Mason's Monthly Update: 10 months old!

Height: taller than 29 inches

Weight: heavier than 20 lbs (we haven't been to the Dr. to measure him)

Favorite Activities: playing all around the downstairs with all his toys in his toy corner, trying to talk, pulling himself up on furniture and walking around like that, he can go all around the couch walking while holding on. Visiting with Grandma and Yia Yia and Papou, playing with everyone. Feeding the dogs his food from his highchair. Playing with his dino aka "soup bowl", dancing, watching sesame st., standing for a second before plopping on his bottom (almost walking!!!)

Sleep: He still  goes to sleep around 8 or 9 and some nights he wakes up crying, but most nights he sleeps all the way until 6, 7, or 8. He takes two naps during the day, first at around 10:30, second around 4:30.

Food: He's eating any food that's soft along with his baby food and formula.

Clothing Size: 18M

Random: He squints when he's tired and he LOVES playing with his dinosaur toy, the "soup bowl" as we call it because he puts everything in it!
 

Teeth: He has four top teeth and three bottom teeth!

Monthly highlights: First Christmas was the biggest highlight! It was so much fun watching him try to figure out how to rip off the wrapping paper and then ignore all his new toys for his old toys lol.

My son Mason who is 3 years old (almost 4), wanted to be Optimus Prime for Halloween. He has been watching Transformers Rescue Bots for a few years now, so I knew I wanted to make the Rescue Bots version. I have made his last two Halloween costumes and I was really excited to make this one! So I sat down to do some research on it and Googled "DIY Optimus Prime costume" and a bunch of images popped up that seemed really hard to do and also really hard to trick-or-treat in looking quite boxy and hard to move in, so I just used them as inspiration and came up with my own version aka t he EASY version! Project Organize: Home Office

Recently, I decided I would take on the task of organizing our home. I am getting there slowly, but surely. The first (almost) completed project on my organizing to do list is my home office. I say almost because I still need to polyurethane the desk and put the new knobs on it. Other than that, it's completed and I couldn't wait to take pictures of it and share it! :) It was also great lighting this morning with the sun coming in through the windows, so I grabbed my camera and started shooting. I should also mention, we are almost done with a complete mudroom makeover, so stay tuned for a Mudroom Tour post! :) First, I'll show you the old desk area (picture taken June 2010). We inherited this desk from Michael's sister Laura and I painted it white and spray painted the knobs yellow (to match the chair, duh!). Nursery Tour

The nursery isn't completely done yet, but I figure I can just add to this post or create a new post when we finish. We still need to: Make the crib skirt. I have all the materials, I just need to get motivated and make it! Put up the Chirpie Tree decal on the wall, which we are waiting to be delivered. Other than those 2 things, we are done! Without further ado, here is Mason Charles Buckley's nursery: View from the hallway as you walk in. The far wall will be where we put the Chirpie Tree decal. I used Photoshop to put the decal into the photo.
